Club Objectives

The objects of the Society are:

(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.

(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.

(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.

(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.

(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.

(f) Increase student awareness of drilling in the oil and gas industry,

(g) Organise site visits including those to real operational oil/gas rigs,

(h) Provide networking opportunities to students from a variety of disciplines including engineering, geology, science, commerce and information technology,

(i) Give informative technical and non-technical presentations to aid in student studies; and

(j) Promote new and exciting internship/graduate opportunities from realworld companies.
